Ara Poutama Aotearoa (Corrections) Health Services lead the delivery of patient-focused primary health care services to tangata within corrections facilities across Aotearoa. Hōkai Rangi, our over-arching strategic direction, places the focus on health at the heart of our business. Building our frameworks from a Matauranga Māori basis is our focus to drive and support equity for Māori, which in turn will contribute to achieving our outcomes of reducing reoffending.
Mō te tūnga | About the roles
Due to the critical expansion and enhancement of our mental health services, we are pleased to announce newly created Clinical Nurse Specialist roles at our Spring Hill Corrections Facility (permanent) and at Waikeria Prison (fixed-term for 2 years).
Working within a multi-disciplinary team, your role will be to provide a comprehensive range of specialist mental health nursing services to enhance mental health care for people in our care and management. Effective clinical caseload management will include triage, assessment and evidence informed treatments that are aligned to, and integrated with primary health and tertiary mental health provision, as well as overall promoting the delivery of holistic and recovery-oriented health services across the wider prison environment.

The salary range for this role starts from $88,625 up to $98,306 based on demonstrable skills and experience.
