Kidz First Ambulatory Care has an exciting opportunity for a Clinical Psychologist interested in or experienced in paediatrics to contribute to a pilot project between CAMHS and Kidz First to address the inequity of neurodevelopmental assessments in children with or without intellectual disabilities. This role will provide specialist clinical psychology assessment for children and young people with complex neurodevelopmental conditions, under the care of the outpatient based Kidz First Neurodevelopmental Team. The role also contributes to the multidisciplinary assessment of children and young people with suspected Autism Spectrum Disorder and other complex neurodevelopmental/ neurobehavioral presentations. We are seeking a Clinical Psychologist that will be able to contribute to team recommendations and planning for the future for these young people, in terms of assistance with access to Carer Support, NASC and DSS funded supports and services for children already under our care. Assessment work will include written report with recommendations and feedback to family/whaanau, child or young person, and schools and support agencies as appropriate. This role will be well suited to a Clinical Psychologist that has previous experience working within a paediatric hospital, community or mental health setting. You will be well supported by a multidisciplinary team, manager and professional leader. Essential: Eligible to register or registered with the NZ Psychologists Board as a Clinical PsychologistCurrent Annual Practising Certificate with the NZ Psychologists BoardA minimum of year’s experience in a similar roleFull, clean driver’s licence
