Your role

This newly created role provides key and development support to our cloud and hybrid environment. Working within the ICT group, the Cloud, Networks and Operational Technology team you will be responsible for the ongoing build\run and support of cloud, networks and operational technology (OT), testing and operational activities ensuring best practices are embedded. You will lead and champion operational excellence and service delivery through working collaboratively within a wide range of business and technical stakeholders. While maintaining security clearance, you will drive PaaS, IaaS cloud services and private cloud\on-prem solutions, while assisting in SaaS implementations.

Responsibilities

  • Ensuring Cloud and Hybrid-based systems that enable the business are resilient, scalable, adaptive, continuously evolving, and cost effective
  • Designing and implementing Cloud and DevOps practices that allow efficient and effective solutions to be designed, built, deployed, and supported
  • Priming and delivering Operational outcomes, ensuring business objectives and customer expectations are not only met but exceeded; supporting and continuously improving what you inherit and build
  • Communicating proactively, effectively and efficiently, both verbally and written, across different internal and external stakeholder groups; visualising ideas and solutions for consumption by non-technical stakeholders
  • Solving problems for our stakeholders and teams; before they occur
  • Being a self-starter, able to multi-task and use initiative to organise and prioritise workloads
  • Technical knowledge

  • Solid experience in Azure Cloud and well-rounded experience in supporting Infrastructure and Network services within an Enterprise and hybrid cloud environment
  • Expert in Docker and containerization technologies with in depth knowledge of container orchestration tools like Kubernetes and logging/monitoring tools for these orchestration tools
  • Experience in supporting Infrastructure and Network services within an Enterprise and hybrid cloud environment
  • Strong experience with Scripting, Configuration Management and CI/CD
  • Proven experience with implementing Security Controls and Monitoring
  • Working knowledge of tools such as Intune, datacentre, networking software development release management, automation and testing
  • Experience with Mulesoft would be highly regarded
  • Bachelor’s in Computer Science or equivalent would be highly regarded
