The Home Health Aide is a non licensed member of the patient care team and works under the guidance and supervision of the staff nurse in providing personal care to the patients. 75 hours of training will be required with HHA certification. Follows the patients plan of care for completion of tasks assigned to a home health aide by the registered nurse or other appropriate skilled professional; maintains an open communication process with the patient, representative (if any), caregivers, and family; demonstrates competency with assigned tasks; complies with infection prevention and control policies and procedures; reports changes in the patients condition; and honors patient rights.
