Your day to day
An exciting opportunity has become available for a Commis Chef to join our talented crew! This role is all about fine tuning your skills in food preparation and having a willing attitude to learn. The magic lies in the learning, because with IHG you’ll have many opportunities to develop and progress your career. The role requires the ability to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends and/or holidays. You must have a visa to be considered.
+ Prepare and cook orders in accordance with portion and quality standards
+ Control food usage to minimise waste
+ Advise supervisor of low inventory items; assists in receiving items
+ Maintain sanitation and cleanliness standards in the kitchen area
+ Follow all established safety protocols and procedures at all times
+ May assist by performing dish washing or other kitchen duties as needed
What we need from you
+ Certificate or equivalent in culinary training
+ At least 1 years experience in kitchen environment
+ Willingness to learn
