Communications Advisor

Audit New Zealand is a leading provider of audit and assurance services to the public sector and carries out annual audits allocated by the Auditor-General. It also provides other assurance services to public entities within the Auditor-General’s mandate.

You’ll work with the Senior Communications Advisor to deliver Audit New Zealand’s communications and stakeholder engagement strategy and plans.

Responsibilities include:

  • assisting with the production of our internal staff magazine;
  • producing written and video content for our Facebook, LinkedIn, and website; 
  • ensuring that photographs are taken at appropriate opportunities and maintaining a library of photographs.

Essential experience:

  • up to two years’ experience in a communications role;
  • good level of writing and editing skills with the ability to write clearly and concisely in plain English;
  • good attention to detail and proofreading skills;
  • proven competency in social media, including tracking tools; 
  • a high level of literacy in Microsoft Office; 
  • good photography skills; and
  • experience with Adobe InDesign is preferred.

This busy, hands-on role requires someone who is comfortable around senior management, and is able to prioritise effectively.
