What you will do
Your key responsibilities will include assisting in the planning, development and implementation of activities and services including referrals to external providers; which empower and support families of personnel, serving on operational and non-operational deployments.
Another key responsibility is working with children and delivery programmes; you will enjoy organising and managing community events.
You will also be working alongside a wider support team that includes Medical staff, Field Psychologists and Chaplaincy. This role does not provide counselling or rehabilitation services.
What we need
To be successful, you will need to have excellent interpersonal and communication skills and able to relate with a diverse range of people, both in person and over the phone, along with excellent planning and organisational skills.
Your advanced administration skills; and ability to maintain absolute confidentiality of sensitive and personal information at all times is essential.
Ideally you will have experience in providing community support services and community based and enjoy event organisation and management.
A tertiary qualification in a relevant area such as health promotion/public health, community development, social services and/or education would be advantageous. You will require a clean NZ driver’s licence.
