About us | Ko wai mātou

At Waka Kotahi, the NZ Transport Agency, it all starts with our people. The organisation’s performance and success depends on the people who choose to make this a great place to work and make a difference for Aotearoa. The Transport Agency has a strong future focus, understanding that new technologies and changing customer expectations mean the transport system we know today will not be the one we deliver in ten years time.

The People Group is focused on creating an awesome place to work, by unleashing people’s potential to enable the Agency to achieve its purpose. They are supporting and developing people who are focused on creating a safe, resilient, well connected and multi-modal transport system that supports inclusive access, economic security and environmental sustainability.

The Organisational Capability team is made up of five consultants, and a manager each focusing on a particular area. They cover culture, leadership, , talent, diversity and inclusion, capability, change and organisational design. We have two consultant positions to fill, one with a focus on capability, the other with a focus on diversity and inclusion.

Diversity and Inclusion Focus

The focus for this role will be to understand how we leverage diversity and inclusion to achieve positive results We want to build an inclusive organisation and change the way we work to ensure we become consciously inclusive.
