Our Talent Acquisition team has a newly created role of Consultant, Strategic Sourcing and we are looking for a talent sourcing guru to join us.

In this role you will support our Talent Acquisition function by working on talent projects to help us identify current and future capability prospects for our business. You will work closely on our future workforce plan identifying and creating strategies that will build our capability. You will use a variety of tools to help us understand the talent market and attract the right people to Waka Kotahi.

You will understand the importance of networking and working collaboratively with your Talent Acquisition colleagues, People Partners and People Leaders to attract high calibre candidates. You will need to help us grow our brand audience and interact with a wide range of communities and individuals on social media.

A passion for sourcing and a real drive to uncover hidden and passive talent is essential as is your analytical, and data driven sourcing strategies that will produce effective search results.

About you | Ko koe tēnei

To be successful in this role, you will bring:

  • Experience as a recruiter, researcher or sourcer
  • Proven delivery of strategic sourcing strategies, that have been driven through advertising, channel optimization, use of technology and tools and networks
  • Passionate about finding the best talent in the market for any given role
  • Strong business acumen and understanding of business strategies and creating successful talent strategies
  • Experience utilises digital tools, social media, online marketing and professional networking to identify and attract top active, passive and diverse talent
  • Ability to thrive in a team-based, collaborative, and fast-paced complex environment
  • Ability to handle high-volume, multi-location recruitment
  • Demonstrated ability to influence and work in a consultative and collaborative way
  • Ideally seeking someone who can work 32 hours per week (open to negotiation)
