What you will do
 
The Continuous Improvement Lead is responsible for undertaking research and analysis to identify and improve DEMO organisational outcomes, aligning closely with the risk management and quality assurance functions and investment portfolio projects. As the subject matter expert for Continuous Improvement (CI), the role is responsible for developing and managing the DEMO CI work programme and leading the development of CI capability within DEMO.
 
What we need
 
Your skills and expertise with leading, managing and successfully implementing challenging and complex projects, and project management, as well as skills in risk management and quality assurance.
 
You’ll have familiarity with change management, excellent relationship management and strategic planning skills. 

In order to be successful in this role you’ll:

  • Act as the CI Subject Matter Expert;
  • Develop and maintain the DEMO CI Framework and strategy;
  • Develop and maintain the ongoing CI work programme, working closely with all DEMO subject matter leads and managers;
  • Lead the development and promotion of a CI culture across DEMO;
  • Lead key DEMO CI initiatives and reviews;
  • Keep current with CI industry trends and developments and assesses their potential for application within DEMO.

In addition, you’ll hold a qualification in Business, Management or a Financial discipline, as well as a current PRINCE2 qualification and Lean Six Sigma experience.

The NZDF Equipment Management Organisation (EM Org) will provide a single point of accountability for the through-life management of specified equipment across the Land, Air and Maritime environments thereby ensuring that all equipment receives consistent strategic logistic support whilst in service in NZDF.
 
This organisation will be accountable for the day to day delivery of through life Integrated Logistic Support (ILS) and management of equipment enabling NZDF to meet its business and operational objectives to the appropriate standards.
