As a Conversion Optimization Specialist at NZME, you will be responsible for managing, testing and implementing conversion points in the New Zealand Herald digital subscriber sales funnel. 

HOW YOU’LL DO IT 

  • Define the strategy and execute A/B tests to help deliver our Digital subscriptions roadmap, and continually measure the performance
  • Manage key conversion points in the marketing funnel to drive registered users and subscribers of nzherald.co.nz
  • Manage and optimize subscription check out flow, website calls-to-action (CTAs), and lead-generating forms
  • Collaborate with teams responsible for email, social media, to optimize each conversion path
  • Understand the data and user behaviour
  • Analyse and provide results to key business partners
  • You will be revenue-focused and think audience first, using analytics and research to understand our audience. You will have a BA/BS or equivalent working experience and experience with web analytics, A/B testing, and inbound marketing tactics. Experience with the Google Analytics is a must and Google Optimize or related technology (such as Optimizely)is essential.

    SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:

  • Tertiary qualified – statistics, applied mathematics, computer or data science. 
  • 2+ years of CRO experience preferred. 
  • Experience with AB and MV Testing tools and principles in a business setting. 
  • A critical thinker with an analytical and curious mind-set with the ability to understand and optimize customer behaviour.
  • Team player with a sense of humour and a positive attitude.
  • You’ll be an effective communicator and will keep managers and colleagues updated on all tests.
  • Knowledge of agile working principles will be advantageous.
