Te Puni Kōkiri, the Ministry of Māori Development, works within government and communities to enable thriving whānau.  Whānau development and whānau-centred approaches sit at the centre of Te Puni Kōkiri policy, activities and initiatives. 

 

Our Policy Partnerships Te Puni works to design, develop and deliver policies that have a significant impact on Māori.  Our work involves policy leadership across a range of Māori specific initiatives, and influencing policy advice provided more widely across the state sector to ensure other agencies consider, and address, improving the quality of outcomes for whānau, hapū, iwi and Māori. 

 

Coordinator (Policy) – Fixed Term

 

We are looking to recruit a Coordinator (Policy) for 10 months to provide parental leave cover.

 

As Coordinator (Policy), you will manage all administrative functions for the Office of the Deputy Chief Executive of the Policy Partnerships Te Puni. This could include:

 

  • Processing and allocating Ministerial items across the Policy Partnerships Te Puni
  • Monitoring the completion of Ministerial and Departmental items to ensure responses are provided within agreed timeframes
  • Collating, scanning, photocopying and filing of papers for the Office of the Deputy Chief Executive

 

You will bring a:

 

  • Knowledge of systems and processes, preferably in Ministerial servicing
  • A helpful and strong focus on client service
  • Demonstrated competence in managing time and prioritising tasks
  • Previous administrative experience
  • Oral and written communication skills
