Auckland System Management (ASM) allianceAs a Corridor Maintenance Engineer working on Auckland’s Motorway, you will use your ability to think outside of the box to help create ideas to develop and then deliver them as projects that improve the efficiency of the corridor maintenance team. The role will suit a forward-thinking candidate who can apply their engineering skills to solve a wide variety of problems but also be able to communicate their ideas effectively with ground staff and management. The reactive nature of the motorway network will keep you on your toes and you may find yourself performing Site Engineer duties to facilitate repairs to damaged assets. Reporting to the Corridor Project Engineer, you will also be involved in some aspects of project management and be keen to support the development of the corridor maintenance team.Hours of work are Monday to Friday dayshift hours with occasional nightshift work. The role is predominantly office based with site visits required from time to time.In this role, you will:Investigate and promote new ways to improve the delivery of the corridor maintenance teamDevelop project proposals and present to the alliance management teamImplement projects that have been selected by the alliance management teamAssist the Project Engineer with day to day project management and administration tasksMonitor works delivered by the corridor team or subcontractors carrying out workPromote innovation from the maintenance crews and develop worthy ideas into realityInput into the overall strategy and direction of the maintenance teamDevelop, document and improve business processes within the maintenance teamMake a positive difference to the Health and Safety to the teams on siteThe ideal candidate will:Have a relevant tertiary qualificationPossess the ability to understand engineering and infrastructure projectsHave good oral and written English language skills for communication and document preparationInspire others to be proactive and go the extra mileHeavily promote innovation and continuously seek to improve work proceduresClearly understand the customer expectations and requirementsBe flexible in your working times
