About the role:

The primary purpose of the Cybersecurity Pre-sales Consultantis to support new and ongoing sales and marketing activity within the Cybersecurity service in Datacom. Our services span core areas such as Cybersecurity Operations, Advisory, Vulnerability Management, Endpoint Detection and Response, and Governance, Risk and Compliance (GRC) – you’ll hunt out opportunities to sell these solutions.

Therefore you’ll have a mix of specialist IT Security skills along with a proven and successful sales track record. This is a unique, new role in a fast-growing area of Datacom’s business. If you enjoy Cybersecurity, product development, solution design and selling then this role is for you.

What you’ll do

  • Engage with clients and our Sales leads to identify new business opportunities for Datacom’s Cybersecurity services.
  • Provide cybersecurity expertise with clients and prospects through all aspects of the sales cycle
  • Take overall responsibility for technical solutions for bids
  • Communicate and hand over to Delivery team(s) with the approved solution design after sales closure
  • Participate in marketing initiatives in conjunction with the marketing team, including create and improve marketing and sales collateral
  • Build relationships internally with teams and externally with customers, prospects and vendors for the purpose of creating demand
  • What you’ll bring:

    You will have to be a leader in the Cyber Security field in NZ, able to develop and maintain strong relationships with customers and vendors. You will have a passion for evolving and developing solutions to meet customer and the greater market needs. Importantly, you will enjoy the cut and thrust of selling and winning work.

    You’ll understand the cybersecurity posture of your clients and be able to build on existing services.

    You’ll provide insight into new technology that can help shape the customers current Cybersecurity services, identify pain points and how Datacom services can help.
