About the Role

The role is based in a single location and may be either shift work (on a pre-agreed roster) or an office hours role, at the discretion of the local Operations and Data Centre Managers.

The role is responsible for carrying out all operational tasks required to ensure the successful operation of one of the Datacom Data Centre facility.

Responsibilities

  • Completing all operational tasks.
  • Network monitoring and support.
  • Hands on assistance for hosted customers.
  • Escorting visitors / customers.
  • Customer tape management.
  • Customer operational processing.
  • Basic rack equipment fault finding.
  • Cleaning in restricted areas.
  • Ensuring all Data Centre policies are strictly followed.
  • Ensuring all Datacom security objectives are strictly adhered to.
  • Assisting in the running of operational projects.
  • Undertaking customer installations / change in the Data Centre.
  • Assisting in the undertaking of plant / system maintenance at the Data Centre.
