Analysts in the Analytics and Reporting team are responsible for capturing requirements, identifying areas for business improvement, sourcing the right data, conducting data analysis, and delivering insights, reports and recommendations in a way that helps improve our operational performance and processes.

The successful candidate will require the following skills and experience:

  • Comfortable working with complex and diverse data with proven experience in data analysis, manipulation and presentation
  • Strong background and experience in data-science, data preparation, data management
  • A demonstrated ability to think conceptually, and to translate new and emerging ideas in to evidence-based insights and analysis
  • A good understanding of statistics
  • Ability to work collaboratively with internal customers and other stakeholders to determine requirements, obtain data and information, develop methodologies and communicate results
  • A strong understanding of data, databases and / or analytical tools such as SQL, SAS, R, or Python

What you’ll be doing:

  • You’ll work with large datasets, extracting, manipulating and analysing information, providing robust information to enable decision making within the business
  • Contributing to Health Sector Strategy initiatives – designing/implementing/measuring the innovative changes being established that will drive efficiencies and better client outcomes
  • You will host sessions to understand, clarify and document requirements
  • Manage multiple work requests at any one time, self-manage your workload and manage expectations with stakeholders
