What you will doNZDF has adopted Automated Identification Technology (AIT – the use of RFID tags and barcodes). This is to primarily be able to electronically and remotely check inventory, equipment and assets. You will play a key role in ensuring this system is utilised effectively.You will be responsible for:Managing all materiel data and document control for Automated Identification Technology (AIT) marking of inventory, equipment and assets;Acting as the Master Data expert for all AIT advice;Identification of AIT requirements;Quality checking and assurance to ensure the integrity of the data; andProviding specialist support across all other equipment-based staff and other roles, as required.What we needWe will provide extensive training and mentoring for this role but you do require an ability to learn complex processes and systems for creating and managing data. You will bring your excellent attention to detail to ensure data accuracy, and be able to adapt to changing priorities to meet requirements as part of a close-knit team.You will also have:3+ years supply chain experience in a decision-making role;Strong analytical skills with an ability to make sound judgement for data configuration decision-making;Well-developed interpersonal skills with the ability to interact with and coach a diverse range of people;Effective written and communication skills with the ability to adapt communications to the needs of others; andA natural inquisitiveness and readiness to engage in learning through applied practice.A flexible approach and resilience to change would be an advantage.
