The Team: What we do
The Hospital Dental Service, located within Christchurch Outpatients, provides specialist dental care across dental services including Special Care Dentistry, Paedodontics, Prosthodontics, Orthodontics and Oral Medicine.
Dental Assistants provide support for a large team of clinicians, including dental specialists, dental officers, house officers and clinical dental technicians. We provide quality services that are integral to ensuring the health and wellbeing of our community. We’re looking for a passionate and enthusiastic Dental Assistant to join our team on a fixed-term basis covering parental leave until approximately September 2021! This opportunity will see you working 0.9FTE/36hr per week across Monday to Friday. You’ll assist in the provision of general dental care for adults and children, some of whom have complex medical conditions or special needs. This may include assisting with patients who are receiving dental care under general anaesthetic and/or IV sedation. Previous experience as a Dental Assistant is essential, and NZDA certificate is highly desirable.
This opportunity will require you to work across a number of specialty areas, so flexibility and enthusiasm to work in different environments is essential to your success.
