This role has responsibility for implementing complex scientific research and development actions that require a high degree of critical thinking and the fusion of ideas from different disciplines. • Contributing to the delivery of domestic and international research contracts
  • Providing underpinning knowledge on climate change and climate change policy
  • Establishing sound working relations and collaboration with key stakeholders

  • Your ideal background

  • PhD degree in a climate change related discipline with particular emphasis on agricultural greenhouse gas mitigation from ruminant livestock
  • Proven track record of research and development in agriculture
  • Demonstrated leadership, management, scientific, communication and relationship skills and a strong familiarity with the working of government departments and international science and policy fora
  • Experienced in the establishment and maintenance of strong and effective partnerships with individuals and organisations nationally and internationally
  • Experience in negotiation, administration and monitoring of research contracts and research outputs
