Deputy Director – New Zealand Agricultural Greenhouse Gas Research Centre
The Role and opportunity
We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced and passionate senior scientist to join the New Zealand Agricultural Greenhouse Gas Research Centre (NZAGRC) management team.
The Deputy Director supports the NZAGRC Director in the running of the NZAGRC, including the development of business and science plans and the monitoring and assessment of its performance against its Key Performance Indicators. This role has responsibility for implementing complex scientific research and development actions that require a high degree of critical thinking and the fusion of ideas from different disciplines. Successful outcomes from the research programme will result in new practices and technologies that reduce greenhouse gas emissions from livestock production systems, particularly ruminant livestock.
What you will be doing:
You will support the NZAGRC Director in delivering the NZAGRC domestic research programme and take a leading role in planning, contracting and delivering the New Zealand Government funded collaborative international work programme undertaken to support the aims of the Global Research Alliance on Agricultural Greenhouse Gases.
