The Ministry of Social Development (MSD) is undergoing significant transformation.  To support this, we’re in the process of re-designing and implementing how I.T operates and delivers quality products to the Ministry and partnering agencies across the sector.


 
Influenced by a rapid shift in the marketplace to cloud and mobile based technologies, we are introducing new, innovative digital channels across the Ministry. These technologies will enhance and improve the way New Zealanders’ experience our services and interact with government services as a whole.


 
To support delivery of this work, MSD is looking for talented and experienced developers to build Client and Process-centric solutions in an environment where we consider I.T. and Business as one entity.

To be considered for this role you will have:

  • Highly developed analytical and conceptual thinking ability
  • Experience in gathering, analysing and documenting business requirements
  • Skills in the use of continuous business process improvement methodologies
  • Experience in technical writing and process mapping
  • Sound relationship management skills
  • Strong documentation skills.
  • Excellent written and oral presentation skills
  • Excellent organisational ability
  • Experience with one or more of the following products
    • APEX, BPM, ODM, MyMSD, BlueworksLive
  • Experienced with the following technologies and platforms
    • IBM BPM, IBM WebSphere, Web technologies, J2EE, Java, SOA, application servers,, middleware, enterprise application integration, databases, security, performance & scalability.
  • Familiar with DevOps
  • Familiar with SQL
  • Ability to lead, self-manage, and make decisions
  • 5+ years’ work experience
  • 2+ years’ experience on IBM BPM/ODM
  • Experience in developing complex business processes solutions that include integration services, human tasks, business rules, escalations ..etc
  • Solid understanding of business process modelling and document AS IS Process
  • Able to identify automation opportunity from AS IS Process
  • Experience with one of the RPA tools (Blue Prism, Automation Anywhere or UI Path) is highly preferable.
  • Experience with IBM DataCap and its integration with IBM BPM is highly preferable
  • Hands on experience implementing IBM FileNet P8 and IBM Datacap solutions, including IBM Content Navigator is highly preferable
  • Experience on architecting BPM/ODM solution in cloud is highly preferable
  • Ability to research and evaluate the usefulness of new technologies and devise and administer technology adoption plans and training courses.
  • Ability to quickly learn new concepts and technologies and convert them into solutions.
