About this role
Due to ongoing growth in our Product teams in Wellington, we have 3 roles open. We are looking for enthusiastic and experienced People Leaders, who have excellent coaching, mentoring, and performance management experience. It’s also very important that you know the challenges your people face, so you will need to have previous experience working in a software development environment.
You will be managing engineers across a number of pods, and you will be responsible for supporting your direct reports in becoming awesome Xero’s, empowering them to hone their engineering skills and grow as individuals. You will also work alongside other People, Product, and Engineering leaders to foster the growth of a world-class engineering culture in your wider Product area.
You’ll maintain an environment in which your pods can do their best work predictably and sustainably. You’ll make sure the pods have all the information they need, and the right feedback loops in place, to discover and deliver valuable, usable, and buildable outcomes. You’ll help your pods learn and improve, making local discoveries global. You’ll look after the health of your pods and their products, aiming for resilience.
