The Role

We are looking for an experienced Release / Build engineer to join our Christchurch DevOps team to help us build, package, test, release and deploy our awesome open-source stack based desktop, enterprise and cloud-based geospatial products used in the mining, energy, engineering and environmental industries all over the globe.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to:

• Contribute to the DevOps transformation within Seequent
• Improve our build and deployment systems
• Share your DevOps knowledge with the wider Seequent engineering team

In order to be successful in this role, you should have:

• Proven ability to collaborate on projects than span multiple teams and disciplines
• Experience with Continuous Integration Build/Test Tools such as TeamCity, Bamboo, Jenkins etc.
• Experience with application packaging and deployment on Windows/Linux
• Experience with building open source projects/components
• Knowledge of modern DevOps Tools and Practices such as Infrastructure/Config as code
• Experience administering JIRA projects
• Experience with cloud platforms and tooling such as AWS, Azure, Docker etc.

It would be advantageous if you have:

• Experience working with remote teams
• Experience with Terraform, Ansible and Kubernetes
• Experience with Python, bash/sh or PowerShell scripting
• Experience with Azure Devops or a similar tool that supports pipeline as code
