The Enterprise Design & Integrity group is responsible for the services that provide advice, guidance, and direction to ensure IR’s strategic intent is followed. These services include:

The teams provide enterprise-wide oversight and assurance for the organisation so that our people and information are safe and secure. As well as optimising the capability of our people to deliver to our strategic intent and ensure the Government, stakeholders and customers respect and trust that IR will deliver what is expected of a major public sector organisation.

As a Domain Principal you will support the Internal Assurance team to deliver on the Internal Assurance Plan whilst providing quality service to our customers and stakeholders to ensure enterprise-wide oversight and assurance for IR.

In this varied lead specialist role, you will:

  • Have the broader view and oversee the management of the IA workplan ensuring the successful completion of assurance projects across the organisation
  • Ensure IA practices and processes are relevant, reviewed and updated on a regular basis
  • Ensure key stakeholders have the confidence and assurance that processes are being managed appropriately
  • Support the team to develop their technical capability to deliver on the IA outcomes for the organisation

You will need to have experience in:

  • Delivering an Internal audit workplan and the ability to provide the full range of assurance services at a senior level across a large complex organisation
  • Leading the technical practice management of the IA team to maintain compliance with the Institute of Internal Auditors professional practice standards
  • Establishing strong working relationships and effectively working with key stakeholders to ensure team credibility is maintained
  • Analysing complex issues to draw conclusions and suggest appropriate solutions
