We are seeking several permanent appointments to the role of Education Adviser to work within the Parliamentary Engagement (PE) team.

The Education Adviser is responsible for developing and coordinating parliamentary education programmes and resources, and aims to enhance the participation and understanding of Parliament. If you like setting and achieving learning objectives, having lots of variety in your work, and working with a wide ranging audiences – this would be a great job for you.

Key responsibilities of this role include the following:

  • Design, develop and deliver high quality education programmes to a range of audiences
  • Support and plan the delivery of parliamentary induction and professional development programmes for Members of Parliament
  • Liaise with the Education Lead and Visitor Centre staff and provide a seamless booking process and service provision for all booked groups visiting Parliament
  • Support the Education Lead in the completion of project work

To be successful in this role, you will need a strong understanding of parliamentary processes and practice, and a good understanding of principles of learning and education. Experience in teaching would be an advantage.

This is a full-time position and involves working with the PE team and across both the Parliamentary Service and Office of the Clerk and to coordinate the implementation of the Parliamentary Engagement Strategy 2018-2021.
