Your new role Due to changes within the organisation, the HR team is growing and a fantastic opportunity has arisen for a highly experienced Employment Relations Specialist to join them. This role will report to the Head of HR and will be responsible for providing commercial and customer focused advice in all aspects of ER and IR. Duties will include Planning and executing workplace relations, ER and IR strategies in New Zealand Developing and implementing Collective Bargaining plans, drive negotiation and effective implementation of policies and procedures Partner with Business Leaders and support and advice on a full range of ER and IR matters including collective bargaining, complex ER matters and workplace disputes. What you’ll need to succeed You’ll have extensive experience in HR or Employment law specialising in ER/IR, ideally within heavy industry. The ability to provide sound legal advice as well as guide and influence stakeholders whilst managing effective relationships across the business is essential and you’ll have proven experience dealing with unions and leading on collective bargaining. You’ll have exceptional negotiation skills and excellent drafting skills and will be able to demonstrate the ability to manage competing priorities and escalations.
