Equity Portfolio Manager

ACC is seeking a Portfolio Manager for its Wellington based NZ Equities team. This senior position encompasses primary responsibility for the active management of ACC’s NZ Equities portfolio & one of the largest investors in the NZ equity market. Key requirements include portfolio management experience and an ability to contribute to and operate in a collaborative decision-making process.

As a senior member of the team, you will also be involved in communicating your views on the equity market with colleagues in the asset allocation, fixed interest, and private markets teams, participating in ACC’s governance engagements with listed companies, and the support and development of junior staff.

What we are looking for from you to be successful in this role:

Experience in management of an equities portfolio
Buy-side experience with the analysis of listed companies
A level of financial literacy, likely demonstrated by a relevant tertiary qualification and/or a proven ability to understand and model company financial performance
A good appreciation of how financial markets tend to behave.
Familiarity with a large number of NZ listed companies
Strong spreadsheet skills, including financial modelling experience and familiarity with bringing Bloomberg data into spreadsheets
Working knowledge of NZ securities law
