We have an exciting opportunity for the right person to join our casual pool of exceptional custodians.
This is an important casual role supporting our Care and Protection team, safely transporting and escorting our tamariki and young people from one location to another in accordance with our professional standards and practices.
The safety of our tamariki and rangatahi is paramount, so it is essential that you have a current, full and clean driver’s licence.
You will be joining a team that is committed to the safety of our children and young people; working cooperatively and professionally with a wide range of staff, including those from other government agencies such as the police, courts and external agencies like local community groups and Iwi social services. It is important that our staff understand and carry out the responsibilities relating to our children and young people.
We are looking for a positive, reliable, organised, flexible and adaptable role model who can demonstrate sound judgement. Your calm and professional manner, your ability to deescalate challenging situations, and your ability to maintain professional boundaries will all see you in good stead to fulfil this position; as will your excellent observational skills.
This role will suit you if you are looking to make a difference in the lives of children and young people. If you think you have what it takes, and are totally committed to doing what’s right for children and young people, and helping them to grow up safe and strong, then we’d love to hear from you.
