Tautua, MPPs Executive Leadership team operate in a dynamic and often complex environment with a diverse range of stakeholders, including the Minister, government agencies, pacific communities, corporate organisations and the general public, all with distinct requirements. The Executive Assistant to the Deputy Chief Executive’s is a key role within National Office, and supports the work of the Leadership team.

About you

You will be adaptable to the many demands, excellent at communicating with people and have a helpful, caring approach to the work. You must be details oriented, use your intuitive to support the needs of the two Deputy Chief Executives, and take a proactive approach to getting the work done. Ideally, but not necessarily you will have the ability to speak a Pacific language and have some knowledge of and empathy for the organisation’s journey and values.

The Executive Assistant position provides high-quality administrative support services to the designated Deputy Chief Executives. These services include secretarial and personal assistance; making travel arrangements; leading the logistical arrangements for the Deputy Chief Executive’s meetings; including research and information to support meetings, as well as be the key liaison with internal and external stakeholders.

  • Ideally three or more years PA/EA experience, with broad exposure to all aspects of a PA/EA function
  • Excellent MS Office skills, particularly Word, Excel and Outlook
  • Excellent word processing skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication and people skills
  • A high level of accuracy and attention to detail
  • A high level of independence in planning tasks
  • Ability to multi-task and work under pressure with a ‘can do’ attitude
  • Self motivated and committed to creating a positive working environment
