Executive Assistant to Deputy Director General – 12 month maternity Cover | Fixed term or Secondment
MPI provides policy and regulatory advice, market access and trade services, and manages major regulatory systems of biosecurity, food safety, forestry, fisheries management, and animal welfare. MPI also has strong relationships with other government agencies, primarily within the economic, border, and natural resources sectors. About the Role
As an Executive Assistant, you’ll provide dedicated executive support to the DDG Agriculture and Investment Services AIS. A key part of the role will be to provide high quality, timely and proactive one-to-one executive support to the DDG AIS and foster on-going effective relationships with key stakeholders such as Ministers’ Offices and senior sector leaders.

Skills and Experience
You’ll be experienced in providing 1:1 support at a senior level, in the public sector. An eye for the important will allow you to coordinate a busy diary and keep track of the business unit. Your strong initiative means you’ll quickly learn how the DDG operates and confidently make decisions on their behalf when needed. You’ll have a reputation as being the go-to-person who can juggle priorities and deadlines with ease.
