About the Role        

As an Executive Assistant, you’ll provide dedicated executive support to the DDG Agriculture and Investment Services AIS. A key part of the role will be to provide high quality, timely and proactive one-to-one executive support to the DDG AIS and foster on-going effective relationships with key stakeholders such as Ministers’ Offices and senior sector leaders.   

In the role, you will have responsibility for:

  • Managing the DDG’s calendar with a focus on coordination and forward planning.
  • Email management and managing workflows.
  • Organising meetings, workshops, events and travel.
  • Managing reports and collating data.
  • Supporting priority events or specific pieces of work

This is a unique and exciting opportunity – roles like this don’t come along very often!

 

Skills and Experience

You’ll be experienced in providing 1:1 support at a senior level, in the public sector.  An eye for the important will allow you to coordinate a busy diary and keep track of the business unit. Your strong initiative means you’ll quickly learn how the DDG operates and confidently make decisions on their behalf when needed. You’ll have a reputation as being the go-to-person who can juggle priorities and deadlines with ease. 

 

You’ll also:

  • Have great relationship management skills.
  • Strong experience in providing executive support at a high level.
  • Be able to develop and maintain systems and procedures as well continuous improvement.
  • Have the ability to maintain the highest level of confidentiality and discretion.
  • Have an ability to gain an understanding into goals and drivers.
  • Be known for your proactivity and your ability to always be ‘one step ahead’.
