Māori Impact Executive Assistant

Your new role
We have an exciting opportunity for a motivated and driven Executive Assistant to join our Māori Impact Group. With a primary focus of supporting the General Manager Māori Impact, this new position will suit an individual with strong organisational and communication skills who is confident in making an impact within our organisation and community as a whole.
This is an exciting role that offers the successful candidate the opportunity to expand their knowledge and skillset. Daily activities may vary but the opportunity to use initiative, innovative thinking and to make an impact will remain the same. This position would suit an enthusiastic, energetic and passionate individual who wants to grow in their career. An awareness of the working relationship of iwi, hapū, Māori businesses, government agencies, and Māori research communities would be advantageous.

Who we are
ESR is a Crown Research Institute, working with and for clients and stakeholders to deliver enhanced scientific research services for the economic, environmental and social wellbeing of New Zealand. ESR has approximately 400 staff with sites across New Zealand.
We’re undertaking an ambitious programme of transformation to achieve greater impact from our science and research; we are investing in deeper, more strategic research with Māori communities across the motu for better health and environmental outcomes.

You will be part of a new team, He Pūtaiao He Tangata Māori Impact, who are transforming research to strengthen communities and the environment through Mātauranga Māori and western knowledge systems and you’ll contribute to making a positive difference in wellbeing as we engage with multiple iwi to support their environmental aspirations.
