The Te Ihu region is the largest in the country in terms of area, fire brigades and personnel and covers the West Coast, Canterbury, Mid/South Canterbury and Tasman/Marlborough.

We need you to bring your expert executive level support abilities to the organisation and in return you’ll receive our full support to further your talents and develop a great future. You’ll focus on providing a first-rate support services to your Region Manager – organising their busy schedule and acting as a first point of contact on their behalf. Your flair for organisation, time management, communication and stakeholder engagement will shine, as you efficiently manage a high workload and a busy diary and respond to enquiries – essentially doing whatever’s needed.

You’ll be an expert at proactively troubleshooting and horizon scanning, and you’ll be politically savvy and experienced at expertly managing and influencing on behalf of your Region Manager. Teamwork is essential in this position as you’ll work closely with the wider regions.

You’re experienced at providing exceptional support at an executive level, so your professionalism and adaptability will match this position’s importance, diversity and pace. Your interpersonal skills are outstanding, and you demonstrate initiative and a positive approach to tasks.
