The Marsh Specialty practice of Marsh New Zealand is on an exciting period of growth and expansion and as a result, we have a number of available openings.

Accordingly, we are seeking ‘Expressions of Interest’ from suitably qualified candidates to join our Marsh New Zealand business across a number of business lines including:

Financial & Professional Liability (FINPRO):

Marsh’s FINPRO practice is a global advisory team that designs solutions to mitigate financial and professional liability risks that can affect your organisation’s fiscal health, reputation and leaders’ livelihoods.


Marsh has created a fully integrated Global Construction practice to help the sector build a successful future through optimising its approach to managing risk. We are an extensive team of experienced risk and insurance professionals, dedicated to the onshore construction sector.

  • Assist with the preparation, management, implementation and achievement of team/unit business plans and goals

  • Develop and maintain effective long term relationships with key client decision makers and frequently monitor political, management and other changes within client organisations to preserve and protect the Company’s relationship at all times

  • Apply industry knowledge to have advise clients on relevant risk and insurance market trends and Marsh solutions.

  • Participate in industry events and/or conferences to expand your professional network, maintain proximity to the relevant market and represent Marsh.

  • Recognise and capitalise upon revenue generation, growth and other opportunities

  • Develop new business opportunities from existing portfolio and other sources

  • Contributes to the firm’s body of knowledge through active internal communication to keep abreast of changing risk and insurance market conditions

  • Contribute to client retention through effective risk solutions and excellence in service

  • What you need to have: 

  • Proven experience of managing a portfolio of corporate client accounts

  • Degree in Insurance or related discipline if preferred but not essential

  • Tier 1 FSRA qualified essential

  • Negotiating and Influencing skills

  • Analytical and problem solving skills

  • Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)

  • Highly motivated, with a client, service and solutions mindset
