You will be involved in working directly with clients, researching clients’ businesses, checking compliance with policies and procedures, testing internal controls and substantiating financial information.Our Dunedin team will give you great exposure and breadth to work in an autonomous ways and gain fantastic experience leading audits. The ability to travel locally and throughout the South Island periodically is also looked upon favourably.Our teams work with a wide range of Financial Services and non-Financial Services clients. You’ll be at ease interacting with people at all levels in our firm and demonstrate a solid commitment to providing exceptional client service. We’ll help you develop and broaden your skills, with the opportunity to take on more responsibility and advance your career.What do you need to bring to the role?We are seeking a self starting and ambitious go-getter with a minimum of 1 years’ work experience as an External Auditor in a professional services firm.Applicants must be a Citizen or Permanent Resident of New Zealand or be currently located in New Zealand with valid working rights to be considered for this vacancy.It is also expected that you will bring the following competencies and experience:Excellent verbal and written communication skills in EnglishThe ability to critically think, analyse and explain complex information with clients and colleagues in a way which is easy to understandEither have, or be in the process of getting a professional accounting qualification.Proactivity and strong time management and organisation skillsStrong business acumen and personal ambition, drive and initiative to develop a successful career with the world’s leading professional services firmProven experience in producing high quality written work and reportsProficiency with Microsoft suite and Google products is preferredWhy is PwC a great place to work?Today’s constantly changing commercial world requires us to be proactive with our professional and personal development.
