What you will do

As the Site Supervisor you will manage the delivery of facilities management services based at Burnham Military Camp, while providing oversight throughout the South Island. As the Site Supervisor you will act as the lead for day-to-day issues in relation to property and facilities; you will oversee the management of facility contracts and contractors, monitor the quality of work carried out and ensure that H&S practices are adhered to.

What we need
Your considerable experience and knowledge in infrastructure facilities management and maintenance and/or property management. You’ll be skilled in the management of contractors ideally within a facilities management environment, along with having practical experience in delivering on and auditing against contract requirements. 

You’ll be highly effective at engaging with contractors and working with them to ensure the required outcomes are met. Your pragmatic approach in all situations enables you to problem solve, find workable solutions and make sound decisions.

You are a confident communicator, active listener, networker and negotiator who proactively engages with internal and external stakeholders and builds professional relationships based on trust, integrity and expertise.

You’ll bring:

  • Working knowledge of property legislation, including the Building Act 2004, The Resource Management Act 1991 and the Health and Safety at Work Act 2015 and related regulations including HSWA (Asbestos) Regulations 2016;
  • Practical problem-solving skills;
  • Experience in setting and maintaining a high standard of quality assurance;
  • Project management experience.
  • In order to be successful in this role you’ll also hold a Site Safe Consultants Passport, be able to travel within the South Island (and occasionally nationwide) on a regular basis, and you must hold a full, clean class 1 drivers licence.
