File Management and Transcription [FM&T] Service is an integral part of the Service group.  The FM&T service will deliver support to front line staff and victims, by supporting the delivery of services to the district, and assisting with the transition to a nationally consistent model.

The Service group is looking for an engaged and highly motivated leader to support the Regional Manager and provide oversight to the FMC team.


You will be responsible for:

  • Leading the Police High Performance Framework within the team
  • Leading a culture based on the core values of the New Zealand Police
  • Partnering with and maintaining relationships with a range of internal teams
  • Implementing nationally consistent Case Management policy and practices
  • Managing a district based FM&T team to deliver a consistent service to front line staff and victims
  • Managing a Supervisor Transcription Service to deliver a consistent Transcription service to front line staff and victims.



Skills and Experience – you will be able to:

  • Demonstrate an ability, or willingness, to manage and lead staff in building a high performing culture
  • Demonstrate experience in the delivery, implementation and monitoring of work practices and procedures in relation to case management at NZ Police
  • Demonstrate experience in the workings of FM&T and the service supplied to Districts
  • Demonstrate understanding of Data Quality and the impact on our targets
  • Provide leadership, coaching/training, motivation and management to maximise efficiencies in meeting service delivery expectations.
