File Management and Transcription (FM&T) Service is an integral part of the Service group.  The FM&T service delivers support to front line staff and victims, by supporting the delivery of File Management Centre (FMC) services to the district, and assisting with the transition to a nationally consistent model. The service has been centrally managed since 1 October 2019, and we require experienced staff to support us in the new structure.

The Service group is looking for an engaged and highly motivated leader to support the Regional Manager and provide oversight to the FMC team. This is a Permanent role as File Management Supervisor.

It is our preference that the applicant will be available to start as soon as possible. The FM&T transition activities are underway, however we still require ongoing support for these as well as the FM&T day to day activities.

  • Leading a culture based on the core values of the New Zealand Police
  • Partnering with and maintaining relationships with a range of internal teams
  • Implementing nationally consistent Case Management policy and practices
  • Managing a district based FMC team to deliver a consistent FMC service to front line staff and victims
  • Managing a Supervisor Transcription Service to deliver a consistent Transcription service to front line staff and victims

Skills and Experience – you will be able to:

  • Demonstrate an ability, or willingness, to manage and lead staff in building a high performing culture
  • Demonstrate experience in the delivery, implementation and monitoring of work practices and procedures in relation to case management at NZ Police
  • Demonstrate experience in the workings of an FMC and the service that it supplies to a district
  • Demonstrate an understanding of the Case Management project and its objectives, and an understanding of our transition challenges as we move to a nationally consistent FM&T service
  • Demonstrate understanding of Data Quality and the impact on our targets
  • Provide leadership, coaching/training, motivation and management to maximise efficiencies in meeting service delivery expectations
