Newly Created Business Partnering Role – Bring the Numbers Alive Innovation and Growth Orientated Organisation Christchurch Based Our Client Westpower Ltd is an Electricity Network Company which comprises a group of contracting and consulting companies known as the ElectroNet Group, providing first class electrical solutions across transmission and distribution electricity networks. The Group’s head office is located in Greymouth on the West Coast, with a workforce in excess of 330 team members located in a number of locations across both the North and South Islands of New Zealand, the Group provides electrical and technology solutions to customers throughout Australasia. For further information visit,, The Role Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer, you will be an integral member of a small team of finance professionals, while having a dotted reporting line to the CEO in order to provide additional high level financial support when needed. The primary function of this role is to provide support and project services to the Group encompassing business intelligence insights, ERP and system development and implementation, supporting budgeting and financial analyst activities including project forecasting, contract performance and revenue recognition. The successful applicant will be involved in major capital projects, mergers and acquisitions, carrying out audit, insurance, fraud and risk management activities and managing regulatory change. In addition there will be significant opportunity to partner the CFO and CEO with critical projects and analysis as the Group continues to grow. Your Skills and Experience To succeed in this role, you will be a qualified Accountant with experience in diverse commercial environments. You will have strong ERP skills and a flair for business analysis, with the ability to effectively communicate financial data in order to bring the numbers alive within the business. You will be committed to providing excellent service levels to stakeholders and have the ability to coach and lead others whilst developing great relationships at all levels. In addition, you will be a team player who is able to work autonomously, have excellent time management skills, while being flexible and adaptable to change.
