In New Zealand, Foton NZ is part of the Ebbett Group and is the importer/distributor of Foton trucks. We currently distribute the Foton Aumark series of light-duty trucks (which includes a Foton Job ReadyTM range) and Auman EST-M medium-duty trucks.The OpportunityWe are currently looking for a motivated diesel technician with truck experience to join our team. The right calibre individual will have the opportunity to work at a distributor level, interacting with the dealer network and the manufacturer. We are looking for applicants who are focused on offering the best possible customer service experience. Being able to work with a degree of autonomy, you will also be a self-starter who enjoys driving outcomes.In this role you’ll be reporting to the Foton NZ National Aftersales Manager and will be located at our Head Office facility in Hamilton Central. ResponsibilitiesAs the National Aftersales Assistant you will be responsible for: Efficiently providing technical support to our national dealer network Assessing and processing dealer warranty claims New vehicle inspection, builds, technical reporting and having a willingness to pick up the tools when required Providing a support role for any owner care issues and, as part of a small team, being flexible to perform other supportive tasks as and when required Being a champion for customer satisfaction, with both new Foton truck vehicle deliveries and existing ownersRequirements: Full trade qualifications as a heavy diesel technician Post apprenticeship experience working on late model trucks A stable career history and good references High personal standards and integrity Excellent communication skills Competent administration and computer skills Comfortable with managing priorities and deadlines Current driver’s license (up to class 2) would be beneficial but not a prerequisite Comfortable with supporting team members as and when requiredWhy Foton?Joining Foton NZ and being part of the Ebbett Group means working in a dynamic and multi-cultural environment, in a lean and flexible organization with a strong focus on delivering success and achieving excellence at all levels.
