An exciting opportunity has become available for a Funds Advisor within the Funds team.

This is a fixed term role from November 2020 to November 2022 (24 months).

  • This is a full-time position
  • Location – Wellington
  • Role purpose – To support the administration of contestable Jobs for Nature funds managed by the Department of Conservation. 
  • Development – the role would suit someone keen to develop their funds management skills, including developing and improving processes and managing grants.


He angitūtanga: About the Role

As our next funds advisor, you will be responsible for supporting Jobs for Nature funding rounds and administering grants.


He kōrero mōu: What we are looking for


  • understanding of funds management, including application and assessment processes and administering deeds of grant
  • strong customer engagement skills and the ability to develop and maintain effective relationships with a diverse range of people, including community conservation groups
  • happy to undertake administrative tasks 
  • high level organisation skills, ability to deliver accurate and timely information and solve problems as they arise
  • a commitment to support a positive team culture


  • experience in funds management
  • some leadership experience including the ability to inspire, influence and build the capability of others
