With a wide range of services from temperature controlled, containerised or bulk loads, we need talented staff to keep us in front – do you have what it takes?This 15-month fixed term role (maternity cover) based at our Southdown Container Terminal site in Onehunga, Auckland could be the perfect opportunity to show off your customer service, logistics and communication skills.Your role: As a Gate In Officer, you are primarily responsible for the timely receipt, handling, transit and delivery of all inbound and outbound containers from the Southdown Container Terminal. This includes ensuring all containers are gated in and out, that temperature control checks are conducted as required and all corresponding documentation is complete and correct. You will be responsible for ensuring that cargo movements are transacted within the requirements specified by NZ Customs, MAF and shipping lines and maintaining a container inventory which accurately reflects the containers that are on the site.Your skills:To succeed in this role, you will possess exceptional customer service skills, be process driven and be able to set priorities and meet deadlines. Highly developed attention to detail and a passion for continuous process improvement will see you excel. You must also be able to establish working relationships with a diverse range of people and a professional approach is always expected.
