What you will do 

In this role you will support the capture, maintenance, processing and integration of spatial, geographic, and textual data using ESRI ArcGIS, applications used by NZDF, and other GIS related tools. 

You will also assist in progressing Defence Estate and Infrastructure’s (DEI) ability to provide the right information to the right people, from the right data, stored in the right place, and ensure data is available at the right time.

Please Note: This is a fixed term opportunity ending December 2021. 

What we need 

We are seeking a person with prior experience in GIS data management and analysis. 

This covers: 

  • Creating custom map products using GIS software suites;
  • Having an awareness of spatial data with the ability to assess, interpret and present spatial information; and 
  • Bringing experience with the management of databases and the ability to produce written reports and detailed system related documentation.
