GIS Analyst – Auckland

About the role:

You will be responsible for providing GIS services to external and/or internal clients in a shared services environment. This will require you to apply your developed technical knowledge to determine client needs and propose optimal GIS solutions to meet them.

Day to day tasks would involve:

•\tCreating customised online and printable maps using cartographic and design principles

•\tPerforming spatial analysis

•\tCreating online tools using ArcGIS Online Essential Apps and Field Apps

•\tParticipate in planning, design, development, testing, and implementation of GIS applications

To be successful for this role you will need:

•\tUndergraduate qualification in GIS, Geology, Geography, Geomatics, Engineering, Computer Science or equivalent

•\t2+ years’ experience working (preferably consultancy)

•\tExperience working with GIS platforms, the ESRI software suite including ArcGIS Desktop, Portal for ArcGIS, and ArcGIS Online

•\tExperience creating online tools using ArcGIS Online Essential Apps and Field Apps

•\tFME and visual programming fundamentals for data manipulation is desirable

•\tHave a passion to learn and develop new skills

•\tBe interested in troubleshooting and problem-solving

•\tEnjoy working with stakeholders and be customer and client focused

•\tExcellent communication and interpersonal skills
