It’s an exciting time to join the Retail function here at NZ Post. We have one of the largest retail networks in New Zealand and we are looking for an experienced operational leader to head up our team of 8 established Regional Managers, as we continue to transform to a future focused, modern and relevant network in our changing market.
This is a new role where you’ll have overall accountability for the execution of the business plan for retail transformation and operations across NZ Post’s c. 900 points of presence. Your team of Regional Managers are dispersed across the country, delivering specialist knowledge and assurance to secure assets and manage operational risks appropriately within the retail agency network.
You’ll enjoy the autonomy of managing your own schedule and priorities, and the variety of every day presenting a new challenge. The role comes equipped with your own electric vehicle, which will see you getting out and about with your team, NZ Post outlets and our stakeholders. It’s a fast paced, high volume role where you’ll get a great sense of satisfaction supporting our operators to represent NZ Post’s brand, products and services effectively, so we can deliver what our customers care about!
A bit about you
With your commercial insight and experience in successfully leading large-scale sales and service functions, you will inspire, coach, assess and lift the performance of the current team. Great inter-personal skills, a flexible approach and in-depth experience in gap analysis will ensure you build a culture of high performance and leadership capability within the team.
We are looking for an authentic leader who has experience in driving change and managing across multiple sites in a similar senior business function. As the team are based across the country, it will be up to you to balance onsite visits, team management, work with stakeholders, delve into metrics, audits and compliance, and look to future proof our network.
