Lakes District Hospital

  • Permanent part-time (0.8FTE) 64 hours per fortnight

Southern DHB has the largest regional coverage of all the New Zealand health boards, providing services to 350,000 people in diverse communities across a huge geographical area. We take pride in all the services we provide and our aim is to improve, promote and protect the health of our region. We believe that our dedicated and passionate staff are a significant driving force behind the achievement of these standards, and we need more like minded people to help us continue providing for our community.

We are looking for a part-time person who likes variety, is motivated and has a mature outlook to assist the nursing staff on a rostered basis, Monday to Sunday at Lakes District Hospital.

Ideally, you are an experienced Health Care Assistant and will be familiar with the activities assigned to you. You must be available to work Monday to Sunday rostered shifts, including nights. You’ll be providing support to the nursing staff to ensure an effective and efficient service. If you have high standards of cleanliness and hygiene, good organisational skills and a proven ability to carry out manual tasks, we would love to hear from you! It is also essential that you can communicate clearly and concisely and have a positive attitude towards work.

If you have previous experience working in health/disability settings or with the general public, this would be an advantage.
