The Health Research Council (HRC) is Aotearoa New Zealand’s principal funder of health research. Our aspiration is for Aotearoa New Zealand to be a leader in high-impact, high-value health research. The Health Equity Policy Advisor will join the Māori Health Research Investment team, while also providing support and guidance to the wider HRC team. The purpose of this role is to provide excellent strategic advice, and contribute to the development of sound policy, to ensure that health equity is central to all of the HRC’s investments and strategic goals.

Knowledge of the public sector, health and health research, and the science and innovation sector is desirable. We are looking for a team player with strong analytical skills and a track record of delivering results. You will have excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, well-developed interpersonal skills, and competency in the use of Microsoft Office.
