Based in a fantastic location in the heart of Wellington’s thriving CBD, The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade is a large organisation with a significant international footprint.
Our people represent New Zealand on and offshore, and in doing so make New Zealanders safer and more prosperous. By building connections with and influencing other countries and international institutions, we advance New Zealand’s interests and pursue New Zealand’s values. We provide advice to the Government on the implications for New Zealand of what is happening in the world
About the role
As one of our HR Coordinators, you will be a key member of this small, delivery-driven team providing administrative and operational HR services to all Managers and employees across the organisation and to the HR team internally. You will receive exposure to a broad range of HR areas including recruitment, remuneration, HR Systems and capability development.
You will enjoy working in an environment that values your independent thinking, attention to detail and pride in your work. You will interact with all areas of the Ministry both onshore and offshore, so your ability to be flexible and responsive to people’s needs in this reactive role will help you to succeed.
You will be naturally organised, good with technology, enthusiastic and always looking at ways to improve and do things better. This role could suit an experienced administrator who has an interest in developing their HR career or a recent HR Graduate with good administration skills starting out in their career.
We want our people to reflect the diversity of New Zealand and the communities we represent – valuing and respecting the contributions of staff with diverse backgrounds, experiences, skills and perspectives. We value the transferrable skills and points of view that both career and life experience bring to the table. As an employer we are committed to a focus on leadership, talent, training and development, and flexible work options.
If you bring an authentic view of New Zealand’s place in the world, we’d love to hear from you!
