Apply now if so!.We?re looking for an experienced H&S Rockstar to join our experienced team at Rock and Rubble covering 3 sites Auckland wide.In a nutshell, we are a family owned business who provide effective solutions for aggregate and tipping needs. We also provide clean fill removal and aggregate carting at market leading rates and are located in 5 convenient locations. Our successful team and their work ethic is what sets us apart from others, and we need you in these pivotal roles for the future growth and success of Rock & Rubble!Your H&S roleThis is a newly created role as we need someone to pay their undivided full-time attention to helping our business achieve our H&S goals.Rock & Rubble has a strong safety record; however, we recognise that with our growth the health and safety needs of the business require more resource. We need better recording, reporting, and eventually we are looking to move into a digital safety environment. We have a strong foundation of H&S currently within Rock & Rubble ? and are really looking for someone to take our business to the next level in the H&S space.Ensure adherence to H&S management plan & policiesDeliver training and awareness of EH&S to employeesStreamlining our records managementInvestigate any incidents & search for future improvements continuouslyManage the Health and Safety CommitteeManage the required inspections & auditsComplete Sitewise AccreditationAbove tasks are to name a few. There will be other tasks and projects that may well fall into the remit for this role over time.What you’ll need to succeedYou must have current experience of H&S within New Zealand, have a flexible approach and positive attitude. This role is about influencing change through building relationships and understanding the staff and business objective and aligning those with best practiceYou will have excellent communication skills (verbal & written) being able to interact with all walks of life. You will have an inquisitive mind who uses initiative with a flexible and adaptable way of workingYou will have an excellent work ethic. You will have that attitude of always wanting to work hard for our people and being the best at what you do. You will be known to be that person who does whatever is required to get the job done. You will have that desire to work collaboratively with others – gaining the Yard Managers ?buy in? will be essential to your successThis is a great opportunity for someone with a strong career drive that wants to challenge themselves.
