About the RoleWe’re looking for an experienced Health, Safety & Environmental Administrator to join our Auckland team in West Auckland. We need a highly efficient and versatile person who will happily turn their hand to any task to support our HSE team.To be considered for this role you will have: Some experience working in a health and safety/construction environmentBe able to follow instructions, complete work efficiently and on deadlineBe able to multitask, prioritise work and speak up when you have questionsBe able to work independently, as well as integrate quickly into a team environmentHave good communication skills, both written and verbalBe someone who enjoys interacting with a wide variety of people and forms great relationships. You will be accountable for? HSE administrative support on a day-to-day basis, including maintaining digital HSE systems and records for Hawkins and client databasesData analysis and KPI reportingAssist project in the timely close out of HSE actions, audits and eventsAssist with subcontractor compliance: Prequalification administration, Compliance analysis and reporting, meetings and communicationsCoordinate audit and review schedulesDevelop and take minutes during HSE meetings and toolboxesHSE Documents and signage review and revisionDelivering daily site inductions This is a busy role with a number of different day-to-day responsibilities so you must have the ability to manage multiple tasks, working in both a re-active and pro-active environment. You will be a strong analytical thinker, with the ability to apply process and rule to complex problems with deductive reasoning to evaluate options. You’ll use your excellent people skills to build genuine and lasting relationships with our subcontractor partners, clients and our people. You’ll have the skills and experience to help us achieve our strategic objectives. What we need from you? At least 6 to 12 months experience in an HSE Administration role or similarSound analytical skillsStrong coordination skills and ability to changes tasks or schedules while maintaining productivityExcellent problem solving and stress management skillsStrong attention to detail – High level of accuracyAbility to gather data, compile information and prepare reportExcellent written and verbal communication skillsIntermediate to advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office programmes, particularly Excel, Powerpoint, Word & Outlook with experience in Adobe Acrobat Desirable but not required: Knowledge of the relevant legislation and standards including HSWA & RMAFuture in health and safety as a professionLevel 3 -6 H&S qualification (or working towards)
