**About the opportunity**
This is a 12 month fixed term role based in Auckland, NZ. Reporting to the Human Resources Partner for New South Wales, Victoria & New Zealand, the Human Resources Consultant supports the delivery of HR services for our New Zealand business. You should enjoy a busy working environment with an interesting mix of supporting our business leaders and hands on operational support to the broader teams. You will be joining a function that is well regarded in the business and has mature and advanced processes and systems that minimise administrative duties, allowing the HR Consultant to work collaboratively with the HR team to spend time advising and supporting the business in practical ways.
In this true generalist role, you will have the opportunity to provide advice and support to the business across the full range of HR activities including benefits, mobility, onboarding, policy/procedure, employee relations, compensation & benefits and learning & development and much more. Whilst working closely with the Australia HR team, you will be the key point of contact for the People & Places Solutions Leadership team in NZ.
Ideally you will have relevant qualifications and industry experience in a professional services environment or infrastructure sector. You will have a strong generalist background and interest in working across the full range of HR services. Ideally, you will have experience in managing employee relations and the ability to coach leaders in complex organisations whose people strategies need to be agile and enable the business to respond positively to changes in the region and global markets.
You will be a highly motivated individual with a can-do attitude, and will be happy to get involved in all levels of work – from administrative through to the more strategic elements of HR. Key to your success will be an open and consultative style supported by excellent communication skills, a natural relationship building ability and a drive to think outside the box.
