The role | Mō te tūnga
As an Insights Analyst working in the area of International Accounts you ll be involved in the development, analysis and dissemination of data used for New Zealand s Balance of Payments (BOP) and International Investment Position (IIP).
BOP and IIP statistics are vital to understanding New Zealand s trade and investment with the rest of the world, and how we finance it. For example, BOP and IIP statistics enable policy makers and businesses to understand and make informed decisions about how to manage the impact of global economic shocks such as COVID-19.
You will also use BOP and IIP data alongside other data from within, and from outside of Stats NZ to paint a fuller picture of New Zealand s economy.
You will be focused on providing high quality outputs that meet the needs of our customers. As part of your role you will work with teams across Stats NZ, for example, National Accounts. Also, with external stakeholders such as Treasury, Reserve Bank of New Zealand, businesses, the Media, international agencies like the International Monetary Fund and Australian Bureau of Statistics.
Salary $75,721 – $89,084 neg. depending on skills and experience.
This position can be located in either Wellington or Christchurch.
